Designed for weight-sensitive builds, the VAN series swaps double glazing for a glass outer pane and a 4 mm polycarbonate inner pane, reducing weight by about 30% while maintaining excellent clarity, scratch resistance, and long-term durability. Integrated bug screens and a privacy screen are built into the hatch frame for added comfort and security.

Operation & Access:  

There are four positions: fully closed, latched ventilation (safe for driving when hinge-mounted facing forward), 30° intermediate, and fully open to 70°. The wide opening eases roof access for racks, solar panel cleaning, or access to rooftop tents. Hinges, gas struts, handles, and brackets are made from high-quality materials consistent with Outbound’s Expedition line.
